Activity Sheet 1 - Triangles with whole number length sides, easier lengths.
Activity Sheet 2 - Triangles with challenging length sides, including decimals. Short/Long multiplication skills will be required.

I have included PDF versions and Word Document versions for those of you who may want to edit the activity sheets for your own children’s needs.

This is a differentiated worksheet to help children master opposite angles. Answers are included.
Children are challenged to:
- name the type of angle a ‘missing angle’ is.
- calculate its size in degrees
- measure it accurately using a protractor.
All angles are correctly sized.
There are two sheets, an Expected Standard sheet and a more challenging Greater Depth sheet (2016+ Curriculum). On each sheet there are nine missing angles, meaning that children have 27 things to do in order to complete one activity sheet.
Please rate and/or comment. All feedback is valuable.

11 HD photographs of a sheep heart dissection including a look at a professional dissection kit.
Excellent for showing children the inside of a heart and great for stimulating debate.
Two diary entries based on the same event (visiting the new school wildlife/garden area)
One is basically written with very little attempt at adding detail, high-level punctuation and complex sentences.
The other is of end of KS2 Standard.
I used this activity to get the children to realize that as teachers, we see pieces of text about the same event but the quality of the texts varies drastically. Which would they rather be writing? Which would I rather be reading? Why? Explain why one is better than the other.
Files are uploaded as Publisher, PDF and Word.
This resource pack includes a everything you need for the children to have a go at writing a high-level Newspaper. Included is:
- An example modeled newspaper article, complete with headline, text, pictures, advertisement and Year Six standard Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling (in pdf and .doc format)
- A blank template. I've set this so that the text automatically flows into the other text boxes as children write more. This will save a lot of teacher time in lessons. Helpful to allow a bit more independence!
Please give feedback or rate this resource. I also take requests.
This activity will enable children to have a deeper understanding of percentages off amounts or quantities - a key skill in life.
Included is:
- A pdf version of the questions and answers
- A .doc version of the questions and answers so that you can edit the questions to meet your class' individual needs.
This resource contains three sets of differentiated questions that will develop children's understanding of multi-step problems. These are similar in scope to SATs questions.
Answers are provided.
An editable copy is included so that you can modify to suit your own class's needs.
A complete bundle of Gap Analysis Grids (Reading, GPS, Spelling, Arithmetic and Reasoning) for the 2016 KS1 SATs assessments. I have also included links to the papers, the mark schemes and the conversion grids within each spreadsheet.
These are excel spreadsheets Gap Analysis documents for the 2016 Year Two SATs Papers for Reading.
The sheet totals up the scores automatically and each child’s final score changes colour to reflect their ability.
If their total score for a subject goes green, it means they would have passed the 2016 SATs with that score. If it goes Green with a yellow font, it means that child would have achieved a ‘More Able’ score for that tested subject.
I have also included an instructions and document page, linking to a freely available copy of each test, mark scheme and instructions. Additionally, I have included a link to the conversion tables from RAW Score to Scaled Score.
All a teacher has to do is enter their children’s names and enter the 0’s, 1’s, 2’s or 3’s for each question, which also change colour too for a visual reference. I recommend that a teacher should enter ‘N’ if a child did not attempt that question. This gives an idea of who is not even attempting certain questions, not just whether they got the question wrong.
The sheets are set up for 32 pupils but more can be added/deleted and instructions are on the first page/sheet. Some cells are locked/protected in this document but the parts that you need to insert yourself are editable. This is so that the formulas/algorithms do not break and render the spreadsheet’s functionalities as broken.
I take requests for Gap Analysis Grids. Please leave feedback if you like this resource as I am planning to produce more for each SATs paper going forward, as well as CGP Practice Papers.
Please remember to rate this resource as I made this to save teachers time. Thank-you.
